I'm Johnny! A landscape & wildlife photographer based in San Jose; shaped by the mountains, coastlines, and open spaces of California. Most weekends, I’m on the road before sunrise, chasing new trails, new skies, and the stories nature reveals only to those willing to wander. Every trip—whether it’s a quiet morning in the redwoods or a long drive into the desert—reminds me why I do this: the world is bigger, wilder, and more beautiful than we ever give it credit for. My work leans toward fine-art simplicity. I want every image to feel worthy of a wall—something that brings presence, calm, or emotion into a room.My photography mainly leans towards lots of color and rarely black and white unless that style draws in more emotion. Sometimes the absence of color says more than color ever could. I keep my process natural. Lightroom is where my images come to life; never Photoshop. I leave the imperfections because they belong to the moment—they’re part of what makes a scene real, not manufactured. To me, that’s the soul of photography: capturing what’s there, not inventing what isn’t.One day, I hope to explore it all.
